The Midwife’s Choice is book two in the At Home in Trinity series. After reading the first book in this series I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen next. The Midwife’s Tale is book one in the series, and I would recommend reading it first. You don’t have to in order to enjoy this story, but it helps you understand and know the characters more. I enjoyed visiting Trinity, and can’t wait to go again.
Martha Cade has been the person women call for help when their babies are coming into this world. Times are changing, but Martha isn’t ready for them to. She is used to keeping everyones secrets, and doesn’t want to lose her place in Trinity. Martha’s job has always kept her busy, and when she is reunited with her daughter, she can’t help but feel torn. Being a midwife isn’t easy, but she feels that it is her calling. Can she juggle everything and make everyone happy?
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys historical fiction. Parr did a great job at giving the characters depth, and made it hard to stop reading. I received a copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions expressed are my own.
